A longtime journalist and editor, I was the Woman’s Day "Momfidence" columnist (and a contributing editor) from 2001 to 2010. I've written scores of features for such national media outlets as Parade, AARP Bulletin, Newsweek, MSN, Yahoo, Health, USA Weekend, Reader's Digest, Family Life, Parents, Glamour, Kiwi, Caring.com, WebMD, and others.

For 10 years, I was a contributing editor to Time Inc.'s Parenting and Babytalk magazines (where my name appeared in alphabetical order between Drs. Sears and Spock).

Honors my work has received includes awards from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, the Arthritis Foundation, the Western Publisher’s Association, and the National Women’s Political Caucus.
